Something is holding your organization back, competing priorities.

When progress stalls, the impulse is to push harder.

More often than not, what works is to slow down the reactivity, and to power up change-readiness. We custom-design leadership and organizational coaching engagements that build and sustain meaningful change.

Change is hard. It doesn't have to feel this hard.

Your organization is making the effort. Your people are navigating real-time pressures, competing demands, and unexpected shifts that make sustainable progress harder. What effective leaders discover is that they don't need more speed — they need to be change-ready.

We work with organizations who measure success by impact and results. Through evidence-based strategies, art-based learning, and systemic coaching, FosterEssence partners with you to:

  • Build change-readiness from within.

  • Foster human-centred teams that collaborate across the system.

  • Multiply value in results and impact.

Change-readiness is essential. It's a capacity that can be fostered.

Building change-readiness — and sustaining progress through complexity — takes more than effort. It takes the right conditions. We custom-design developmental engagements that help leaders and teams build those conditions from within and bring the outside in for real change to take root systemically.

What becomes possible when coaching works

One retail division manager moved her team from #6 in their region to a steady #1. Self-assessed leadership impact grew 200%. The return on her coaching investment: 345% over a nine-month engagement.

Results like these happen with a combination of coaching and a leader who is ready to do the real work. Coaching fosters the conditions. The leader does the rest.

Steady hands, steady heart.

You carry a human mandate that is constantly under pressure. Whether you're navigating a merger, a funding shift, or a team stretched to its limit — the pressure is there. And your people feel it. Change feels hard.

The work here builds the conditions for something different: steady hands to hold the work under pressure, and a steady heart to hold the people carrying it. Teams collaborate well under pressure, leaders develop others without depleting themselves, and a mission lasts because the people carrying it aren't running on empty.

What's possible? Leadership by design — steady hands, steady heart, and work that serves people, communities, and the greater good.

Growth, on beat.

Fast content cycles, demanding schedules, and competing stakes create a particular kind of strain: everyone is moving, but not getting anywhere new. Mid-career talent gets stretched thin, and the leaders guiding them feel stuck too. The leadership bench thins with it. Change feels hard.

When goals are aligned, roles are clear, decisions have owners, and the bench is growing — the pace that once felt like noise becomes growth on beat.

What's possible? The leaders and the team behind the work play as one — in rhythm, on beat — so the stories, experiences, and moments you create can do more good in the world.

Momentum, on solid ground.

Distributed teams, complex handoffs, unclear decision ownership — these are signals of a team that grew faster than its systems. Change feels hard.

Sometimes the fastest move is to slow down. The shift from hustle to design is what builds solid ground — momentum that lasts, and gives your best people a reason to stay.

What's possible? A team scaling up works as one interconnected system, standing on solid ground — building solutions that are useful, ethical, and built to do good in the world.

Craft, at pace.

Services, Retail & Fashion live at the intersection of creativity, commerce, and constant change. Leaders are managing shifting client and consumer expectations, operational complexity, sustainability pressure, and the need to move quickly without losing the thread. Change feels hard.

When strategy, operations, and culture are aligned, the work finds its own pace — and the business responds with clarity, making good on the promises it makes to clients, teams, and the world.

What's possible? A business built to perform commercially, at its own pace, while doing good in the world.

Benefits of working with a coach who gets it

Notices the Invisible

Helps you recognize strengths and challenges you may not yet see, unlocking lasting behaviour change.

Strengthens Whole Teams

Aligns goals, roles, and communication so teams operate with clarity, cohesion, and shared purpose.

Builds a Living System

Treats teams as interconnected networks, bridging silos so decisions and knowledge flow where they're needed.

JF Says...

“Hiring a coach was the best investment I ever made. I broke through barriers and accomplished these goals, many ahead of schedule. All of this work harvested enough excellence to obtain contender status as Centre of Excellence #1 out of 9 in my region.”

Services, Retail

SC Says...

“Investing the time to critically look at how we were performing as individuals, as a team and delivering on our promises to our stakeholders was extremely insightful. This resulted in decisions being made that have strengthened the leadership team and significantly increased our ability to deliver on the mandate that we set for ourselves.”

Social Impact

NT Says...

“Our next era requires us to build repeatable pathways for momentum, while enhancing creativity and culture. We're ready to operationalize what already makes us great, so growth doesn't depend on heroics. We also learned some of our biggest alignment challenges are about how work travels between teams and tools. Seeing the system made it clear where momentum flows naturally and where it slows.”

Media

AZ Says...

“I am identifying the things I can change within my team but also what to accept and change internally to create peace and balance both in work and personal contexts... the calm and peace that comes with each of those realizations. It makes taking action so much easier and with greater results.”

Tech & Innovation

KS Says...

“Our coaches met with us as leaders to understand team dynamics and issues. We were included in the details of the planning and solicited feedback to ensure goals were being met. They were empathetic, skillful in their mastery and provided development tools that we would not have been exposed to within our current resources.”

Healthcare

ML Says...

“I really appreciated your ability to look across all of our experiences and synthesize the commonalities. It made me feel even more connected to my colleagues and created an environment where we could relate to each other, despite the differences in our roles, tenures, and personal experiences.”

Services

Sustains Well-Being

Helps leaders find balance between ambition and self-care, so growth doesn't come at personal cost.

Builds Trust & Courage

Fosters an inclusive, empathetic space where trust grows and teams find the courage to engage honestly.

Connects Across Differences

Finds the common ground across roles, tenures, and functions so people feel connected, not siloed.

Hi! I’m Lucy, an organizational transformation practitioner. I sometimes wonder …

“What would it look like if silence was a tool for reflection, rather than a gap to be filled?” At first, this question seems simple, but it leads to powerful realizations. For some, silence is a moment to reflect and process ideas. For others, it signals disengagement or uncertainty. Different interpretations create a subtle tension and an opportunity to explore how silence and conversation can coexist in a way that serves a team.

To begin, we notice the silence and then we experiment with "intentional silence". Team members take brief pauses to let ideas settle and insights to emerge, without words. Practicing silence-as-reflection often shifts the team dynamic, allowing fresh perspectives to surface and giving each person space to process before jumping in.

How does your team create space for real conversations and intentional silence?

Together, let's keep wondering, exploring, reflecting, and pausing.
