Invitation to Venture Within, and Speak
I hold immense value and gratitude for invitations.
I recall an invitation I received a year back to speak at The Leadership Forum.
As I contemplated going and started an email to respond, an inner voice drove me to say: Yes.
So, I listened.
It was like an imperative call to action.
As I recall this, I am so grateful to have listened to the seemingly mild prompt, feeling like a hand touched my shoulder gently guiding me forward to an affirmative reply.
I am also grateful for who sent me the invitation.
At this event, I felt the safety of kind ears listening to my stories, as I listened to theirs.
And, once again I hear my inner voice tell a story and it is spoken out-loud for all to hear.
I tell the childhood story of when I stood so strong in my convictions, that I didn't back down.
I held strong. I hear myself say: "If we don't champion ourselves, who will?"
Honestly, in that moment, it was as though time stood still for me as the revelation that this 'strategy' is what had me live such an eventful and blessed life.
It is this memory and others before and that follow when voicing what's going on within me, of voicing what I want most and of speaking in the voice of my inner champion that I truly understood the value of speaking my mind, heart, and spirit.
What does your inner voice have to say?
